The SportStar comes from Evektor Aerotechnik of the Czech Republic, that haven of European aircraft design & manufacture. The Czech's have been building successful Sport aircraft since the mid 1930's - Zlin & Blanik glider come to mind straight away. They now have around 18 light aircraft companies in production.

The SportStar is a well designed machine with a good balance of essential qualities. It is tame enough & safe enough for "L" plates but still a heap of serious fun to reward the experienced. Light, balanced controls, crisp & manoeuvrable; put it precisely where you want it; it responds with gusto - never fights you. Go x-country, in comfort, in safety, economically with a meaningful load at a meaningful pace. You wouldn't accept less than all round performance from your car, why accept less when you're flying?
